APARTMENTS
CMCArts is housed in a beautiful, historic building on Strand Street in downtown Frederiksted. Frederiksted harbor, the Frederiksted pier and a beautiful esplanade with benches are directly across the street. The traditional Danish colonial building with its arched arcade shelters a beautiful, block-deep walled courtyard which opens on the street behind.
Beaches and a variety of bars and restaurants are within easy walking distance. In addition to housing the CMCArts offices, gift shop, galleries, studio spaces and lovely garden, the building is home to three apartments accommodating from two to four people.
During the year, CMCArts hosts an Artist in Residence (AIR) program that brings visiting artists from all over the world to engage the youth and adults in our community in workshops, as well as to share their art be it in our galleries, on stage, or in our courtyard. When the apartments are not housing AIR artists, these efficiency units are available for rent through Airbnb. Each fully furnished apartment features a full kitchen, bathroom with shower, and air conditioning.
