About the Curator: Lucien Downes
Born in the Caribbean with Trinidadian, Bajan, and Crucian roots, Downes infuses his mixed-media artwork with deep cultural consciousness. His distinctive style incorporates resin, acrylic, fibers, raw pigments, inks, dyes, and found objects, creating rich, layered pieces that have been featured in private collections around the world—including those of Maya Angelou, Teddy Riley, Tim Duncan, and Governor Albert Bryan Jr.
