Tuesday, March 25 6:00pm-7:30pm $20 CMCArts Members Individual/ $25 Ticket Individual/ $35 Partner St. Gerard's Hall, Frederiksted next to St. Patrick's School Register. Smooth, sensual, and full of rhythm—Bachata is a beautiful dance from the Dominican Republic that has taken the world by storm! In this fun and engaging workshop, Rodney will guide you through the essential steps, helping you find your flow and confidence on the dance floor. Whether you're a beginner or looking to refine your moves, this class will have you swaying your hips and feeling the music in no time. Partners are encouraged, but not required (ticket price for couple $35).. Get ready to dance, connect, and bring the Bachata vibes to your next night out! Bring Water Wear clothes & shoes that you can move in. Dance floor is wooden. Instructor Rodney Lopez, CMCArts Artist-in-Residence: Rodney Eric López is an accomplished educator, artist, and non-profit leader. His diverse professional background includes successful tenures in teaching artistry, training, coaching and facilitation, corporate communications and public relations, and nonprofit leadership. Featured in the hit documentary Mad Hot Ballroom, Rodney fosters teamwork and collaboration with high energy and easy-to-follow social dance classes, and facilitates thought-provoking workshops on giving, fundraising, and values-based leadership. He is a board member of New Urban Arts and the Providence Public Library and is a proud member of the Rhode Island Foundation's Equity Leadership Initiative. Rodney holds a B.S. in Communications Studies from New York University where he was a Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholar. He holds a certificate in Spiritual Entrepreneurship from the Glean Network and Venture for All Program at Columbia Business School.
