Saturdays:April 26-May 31 (6 classes in total) Instructor: Sara Lee Hayes Age 16-Adults 10:00 am to 1:00 pm CMCArts Clay Room All Levels are welcome to join! The potter’s wheel is a tool used to create perfectly round vessels. This class teaches how to use this tool. The class is open to Beginners as well as those who have some experience using a potter’s wheel and wish to improve their throwing skills. Fee: $265 CMCArts Members & Teens $280 Workshop Fee Clay & Instruction is included; firing fees are extra based on size of works created. About the Instructor: Sara Lee Hayes is a self taught artist/potter living on St. Croix in the USVI for 40 years. She graduated from Wheaton College (MA) in 1972 with a Bachelor of Arts in Asian Studies. Her pottery training began in 1974 with adult education classes at a local high school and has continued with books and videos, trial and error, and lots of practice.
